TOPPING OUT CEREMONY OF M GARDEN CITY IN DA NANG BY NEWTECONS
[Da Nang, Dec 09, 2022] The entire site management team, investor, supervision consultant, design consultant, supplier, subcontractor, etc. were delighted by the topping out ceremony that Newtecons conducted for M Garden City in Da Nang. This represents a significant turning point for Newtecons and M Group in the Central market.
“On behalf of M Group, I would like to celebrate the topping-out ceremony of the project, and I thank all of you for your efforts together regardless of day and the night to create a grateful event today,” Mr. Tran Quang Duc, a representative of M Group, expressed during the event. “General Contractor Newtecons and partners precisely planned and constructed M Garden City Da Nang. I would like to congratulate the general contractor, Newtecons, for overcoming many obstacles and challenges and finishing the project on schedule despite the complexity of the project structure.”
Mr. Ho Khue, Director of Design Consultant Unit, Alpes, the project’s lead architect, also spoke at the ceremony and shared: “My emotions surged again. We used to be concerned that the Investor wouldn’t select a General Contractor with the vision and commitment to fully fulfill our suggestions and passion for the project. And as we look at the project today, we can see that General Contractor Newtecons’ professionalism has met the highest technical requirements of the M Garden City Da Nang project. The finished project, which resembles a vertical garden in the center of the city, will excite both us and the residents of Da Nang.
M Garden City Da Nang, according to architect Ho Khue, is like a child he looks forward to and is excited to watch grow up little by little. Architect Ho Khue once shared that the General Contractor Newtecons gave him a lot of help so that he could complete this project: “We definitely would have faced many obstacles in finishing the project if it weren’t with Newtecons. The project’s unconventional design presents a significant technical difficulty, and the contractor in charge of the job must be both competent and romantic while also understanding the feelings of the architect. I am fortunate to have encountered others who value beauty in life.”
“For almost two years, the Site Management Team have been sleeping, eating, and living with the project, overcoming numerous obstacles and hurdles to finish an incredibly amazing project in Da Nang city. We are devoted to keeping up our best efforts to complete the task on time. The success of this project demonstrates the positive working relationship between Newtecons, M Group, and partners in subsequent projects”, according to Mr. Phan Nhat Binh, who was in attendance on behalf of General Contractor Newtecons at the event.
The fair-faced concrete surface (also known as architectural concrete), which must be flawless, original, and free of any additional materials after removing the formwork, is a challenging requirement for the site management team in this project. The Technical Department, the Equipment Department, and the Site Management Team actively calculated and planned the size of each tee and cone positions to produce a unified highlight for the entire project. In accordance with the specifications for fair-faced concrete, a concrete product that is solid, committed, meticulous, and diligently produced is flat, smooth, and consistent in color. Not only is the design vision realized, but the investor and design consultant are both satisfied and grateful.
The M Garden City Da Nang project, situated in the heart of Da Nang’s high-rise coastal buildings, has 25 stories and 3 basements. The structure’s flowing vegetation, which starts in the first floor garden and moves up each story until entering deeply into each hotel room’s interior, is coupled with a distinct fair-faced concrete block shape for each floor and an infinity sand pool on the roof. In particular, the building was rated by Archdaily as one of the most environmentally friendly, elaborate, and distinctive projects in the world, and it won the best hotel architectural design prize at the contest were held in 2020 by Property Guru Awards (Singapore).
