NEWTECONS TOPS OUT WESTLAKE SQUARE HANOI IN WEST LAKE WEST
On September 18, 2026, Newtecons topped out the Westlake Square Hanoi Complex in the West Lake West Urban Area, Hanoi, marking the completion of the project’s structural works after more than 10 months of construction.
This was also the second project topped out by Newtecons within the same week, reflecting the Company’s capability in construction management and coordinated schedule control across multiple project sites.
Westlake Square Hanoi – A Premium Mixed-Use Development in West Lake West
Westlake Square Hanoi is located in the West Lake West Urban Area, Xuan Dinh Ward, a strategic location within one of Hanoi’s rapidly developing districts.
The project is developed by Toshin Development, the real estate development arm of the Takashimaya Group, and is envisioned as a premium mixed-use complex comprising commercial, service, and office spaces.
In Phase 1, Newtecons serves as the General Contractor for the commercial complex, which comprises three basement levels with a total floor area of approximately 12,845 sq.m and a 10-storey tower block.
Construction Solutions Tailored to the Project’s Architectural Characteristics
Westlake Square Hanoi features an architectural form that varies significantly across different elevations, requiring different construction approaches at each floor level. In addition, the presence of large openings places stringent requirements on construction planning as well as on-site safety, quality, and schedule control.
To address these challenges, the Site Management Team implemented an I-beam spanning solution across the large openings, facilitating construction activities while supporting effective control of safety, quality, and progress throughout each stage of structural works.
Throughout construction, the Site Management Team maintained close oversight of site conditions, proactively reviewed construction methods, and coordinated closely with relevant stakeholders to promptly resolve arising issues.
With strong commitment and close teamwork across every work package, guided by the spirit of “Overcame challenging conditions – United by strength,” the project successfully completed its structural works on schedule.
Moving into the Next Phase
As Westlake Square Hanoi moves into the finishing phase, the project will require an even higher level of precision and attention to detail across each work item.
Newtecons will continue to maintain stringent control over safety, quality, and schedule, while working closely with the Developer and relevant stakeholders throughout the next stage of construction.
