NEWTECONS SIGNED A COOPERATION AGREEMENT WITH HO CHI MINH CITY UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY
The signing ceremony of the cooperation agreement between Newtecons and Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology was placed on May 25, 2022 in hall B4, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, in the presence of Newtecons representatives, the university representatives, and more than 200 students.
“The Division of Civil Engineering has a long collaboration relationship with Newtecons”, stated Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Danh Thao, Vice Director of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, at the signing event. “Every year, Newtecons has aided the school in the organization of numerous academic competitions, sport events, and the awarding of scholarships to our students. With the signing of a cooperation agreement with Newtecons today, we are very excited to deepen our collaboration with Newtecons. It will establish conditions for the two sides to connect, share, and receive students for internships, scientific research, and technology development.”
Mr. Nguyen Quang Thuy, Operations Director of Newtecons, stated that as an alumnus of the Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, he is always interested in the university’s progress and is very proud of its achievements. “The majority of Newtecons’ staff are currently University of Technology alumni” he said. “Newtecons wishes to contribute to the construction industry’s human resources with knowledge and practical experience, to inspire young people to love the profession, and to nurture bright talents for the future, while keeping in mind that training high-quality human resources for society is not only the responsibility of schools, but also the cooperation of businesses.”
Following the signing ceremony, Newtecons plans to continue working with Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology on the following activities: Providing students with internship experiences in a real-world setting; The student union, in collaboration with the Youth Union, arranges staff training courses and thematic gratitude activities; Establishing a research and creation fund to support students in scientific research and competitions for new technology research and development; Research and technology transfer collaboration; Orientation and recruitment for jobs; Other content relating to human resource support, training, and development.
On the same day, Newtecons held a seminar with students from Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology titled “We are ready – and you?”. Mr. Tran Ngoc Duc, Head of Technical Department, and Mr. Le Quang Vui, Training Specialist, gave presentations on “High-rise Project Structure” and “Human Resources Policy” respectively, to provide students with practical and useful knowledge and information when deciding on a career and working environment after graduation.
In addition, the students played mini-games to test their professional knowledge and received detailed and enthusiastic responses from Newtecons’ managers.
The signing ceremony and seminar program were a success, ushering in a new chapter in the relationship between Newtecons and Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology.
