NEWTECONS ORGANIZES MEANINGFUL COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES
Representatives from the Newtecons Union Committee recently visited Bo De Phuong Duy school and the May Ngan shelter to support and encourage children and elderly people.
Some orphans and underprivileged kids in elementary, secondary, and high school are nurtured and educated at Phuong Duy Bo De School, which is situated near the Long Thanh Pagoda in the Thu Thua district of Long An province. The Volunteer Team visited the location and provided 100 sets of brand-new, size-appropriate tables and chairs after learning that the school intended to expand a new elementary classroom.
The second location the team visited was the May Ngan shelter, which cared for 76 orphaned children since newborn to sixteen and 158 elderly people who were living alone in Cam Giang commune, Go Dau district, Tay Ninh province. The Volunteer Group provided essentials and supported the cost of purchasing beds, tables and chairs for the children, and expanded housing areas for the elderly in order to improve the living conditions and quality of life for the elderly and children at this shelter.
The trip left the participants with a variety of emotions, including a desire to continue donating and aiding more people in need. This is love and compassion from the entire Newtecons community, demonstrating their support for one another and their town.
