FLORA MIZUKI MP6-7-8 & FLORA PANORAMA SITE MANAGEMENT TEAMS COLLABORATED TO ORGANIZE A FIRE DRILL AND RESCUE REHEARSAL

A fire drill and rescue rehearsal were recently held at Tower 3 of the Flora Mizuki MP6-7-8 project with the consent of Nam Long Investor, Supervision Consultant, Newtecons Management Board, Flora Mizuki MP6-7-8 Project and Flora Panorama Project Site Management Teams, in collaboration with Fire and Rescue Police department and Binh Chanh District Public Security.

Fire drill and rescue is one of the extremely important tasks in the finishing construction process. Therefore, Site Management Team must always check, strictly control and be ready to respond to emergency situations, especially when a fire or explosion situation occurs.

❖ Purpose of the rehearsal:

– Improve professional qualifications, coordination of the Site Management Team with the Fire and Rescue Police department in combat work, understanding the characteristics of the situation at the project, identifying firefighting water supply points, informing know the way back and forth inside and outs

ide the project, proactively organizing timely and effective handling when fire incidents occur.

– Raise employee awareness of the importance of fire prevention and fighting, as well as how to use firefighting equipment and methods on the spot to quickly extinguish a fire. The activity, on the other hand, demonstrates Newtecons Site Management Team’ sense of duty and deep concern for fire prevention and fighting, which has led to efforts to better coordinate fire prevention and fighting with local authorities and police.

Fire drills are done on a regular basis at toolbox sessions at the Flora Mizuki MP6-7-8 and Flora Panorama projects. This rehearsal is on a much larger scale than past internal rehearsals, with more than 50 participants from the Fire drill and Rescue Team, Binh Chanh District Public Security, Binh Chanh Electricity, Binh Hung Ward Public Security and Newtecons Site Management Team representatives; vehicles included 1 command vehicle, 2 fire engines, and 1 ladder truck. This is also the first time the Site Management Team of the Mizuki Park project cluster’s projects have cooperated, exhibiting internal solidarity and togetherness.

The project has 1 main gate and 3 auxiliary gates from 8-10m wide located on the internal road, the height is clear and smooth; there are doors facing the internal road in the ground floor area of the building so that fire engines can circulate, ensuring convenience for firefighting, moving property, guiding escape, and saving people.

❖ Rehearsal Process:

– Phase 1: The Site Management Team consists of 25 people divided into five groups: The communication team (alarm, evacuate, disconnect MCB, fire alarm, etc.), the rescue team (directing the escape route, providing first aid, and transporting the injured to the nearest hospital); the asset relocation team (relocating flammable items and valuables); the firefighting team (fighting the fire and isolating it with portable fire extinguishers, directing the fire and rescue police and other forces to approach the fire area); and the security team (Blocking the entrance, protecting property safety, protecting the scene).

– Phase 2: The Fire and Rescue Police of Binh Chanh District Public Security, consisting of 20 people, organizes reconnaissance to determine if any victims are still trapped in the fire, to determine the extent of the fire and the possibility of it spreading, and to identify the main attack points, as well as to organize the rescue of victims from the fire.

Following the rehearsal, the Newtecons Site Management Team pledged to continue to promote and ensure fire safety throughout and after construction so that the apartment can be handed over to residents in the best possible condition.” – said Mr. Pham Minh Vien, Occupational Safety Manager and Head of the Fire prevention and fighting team of Flora Mizuki MP6-7-8 project.

Newtecons was received certificates from the Ministry of Labor – Invalids, and Social Affairs as well as the Department of Work Safety for outstanding achievements in workplace safety and health in 2021.
