2023 ANNUAL SUMMARY AND EMPLOYEE RECOGNITION CEREMONY

On January 12, 2024, Newtecons organized the “2023 Annual Summary and Employee Recognition Ceremony,” attended by the Founding Chairman, the Executive Board, managers, and staff from various departments and construction sites. This event was an opportunity for the leadership team and all employees to reflect on the achievements of 2023, review the company’s accomplishments, and establish goals for the coming year.

The year 2023 was marked by global economic instability and specific challenges for Vietnam. Despite the adverse effects of international political fluctuations and internal economic dependencies—exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic and market bottlenecks—Vietnam’s construction sector experienced significant setbacks. Nonetheless, Newtecons, adopting a pioneering spirit, navigated these challenges with resilience, exceeding its business targets with a total revenue of 11,500 billion VND, a 12% increase over the initial plan.

Mr. Tran Kim Long, Chairman of the Board, highlighted the occasion’s significance: “Today marks the culmination of a five-year plan that elevated Newtecons from the 17th position to a top 3 ranking in the construction market. I am immensely proud of our achievement, a testament to our team’s capability to accomplish greatness.”

Founder Chairman Nguyen Ba Duong expressed optimism for the future: “Building on the momentum of 2023 and through our unity and strategic direction, I am confident Newtecons will meet its 2024 objectives, continue to grow robustly, and forge ahead.”

Last year, Newtecons successfully bid on and commenced several flagship projects nationwide, broadening its collaboration network with new investors. A notable achievement in 2023 was winning a bid exceeding 35,000 billion VND for the Long Thanh International Airport passenger terminal, reinforcing its leading status in Vietnam’s construction industry.

The company has also prioritized human resource development through diverse, practical training tailored to specific groups, alongside strategic partnerships with leading universities to secure high-quality future talent. Focusing on broadening employee knowledge and skills, the leadership team has been keenly interested in career advancement programs, enabling exceptional staff to maximize their potential and align with both their professional growth and the company’s staffing strategy.

Anticipating continued market challenges, Newtecons’ management has developed detailed plans for 2024 to adapt to market shifts.
