TOPPING-OUT CEREMONY FOR SEA TOWER AT GRAND MARINA, SAIGON PROJECT
Recently, Newtecons and Masterise Homes hosted the topping-out ceremony for the Sea Tower at the Grand Marina, Saigon project. This significant event was attended by esteemed guests, including representatives from the developer, the supervisory consultant, the general contractor, Subcontractors, and Suppliers.
The 47-story Sea Tower, initiated in 2021, is one of four towers within the luxury apartment complex of Grand Marina, Saigon. Having completed its structural phase, the tower is now progressing with interior and exterior finishes.
At the event, Mr. Mahdi Samhouri – Deputy Director of Project Development at Masterise Homes, remarked: “Today is a pivotal milestone for Grand Marina, Saigon—with Sea Tower being the second structure within the project’s expansive 10-hectare plan to top out. Just months ago, we welcomed the Marriott team to the Lake Tower, and now, our focus shifts to the SEA Tower, the sole structure housing both the Marriott and JW Marriott luxury apartment collections. This signifies more than just a building; it’s a testament to our commitment to pioneering products. This topping-out event reflects the continuous effort of the project development team, including Newtecons, Mace, Aurecon, AB Concept, and HBA, alongside Masterise Homes, in bringing an internationally acclaimed project to fruition, meeting Marriott’s exacting standards.”
As General Contractor, Newtecons concentrated its resources to complete the project timely, maintaining quality and safety standards, leading to a successful topping-out. Mr. Nguyen Tan Tai – Project Director, shared: “Following the on-schedule handover of Lake Tower, today marks another crucial milestone towards reinforcing the Newtecons brand. We are honored to be the first and, so far, the only contractor to successfully construct and hand over Marriott luxury apartments. The Sea Tower’s topping-out ceremony is the culmination of joint efforts from all parties involved. Post-ceremony, we will continue our diligent work, coordinating with the Developer and partners to ensure timely project delivery to residents.”

The Sea Tower at Grand Marina, Saigon presents a sophisticated project with premium finishing standards, as set by Developer Masterise Homes and operator Marriott International. In its role, the Newtecons Command Team, alongside contractors like IFO and the Supervisory Consultant Mace, as well as the Developer Masterise Homes, has implemented appropriate construction methods to ensure the project’s timely progression, safety, and meticulous attention to detail.
Following the topping-out ceremony, , the Grand Marina, Saigon Command Team will proceed with construction and finishing works to deliver the project to the developer in the forthcoming year..
