SPORTS DAY 2024: THE CHAMPIONS ARE HERE

Newtecons athletes dominated the Sports Day 2024 held on July 27th and 28th, clinching victories in all categories.

This year’s sports festival has delivered incredibly exciting competitions in a spirit of unity, creativity, and constant striving for improvement.

In the North, the men’s football final was a thrilling match between BWID Yên Phong (Newtecons) and OSI Tower (Ricons). The game was decided in the dying minutes of the second half by a solitary goal from BWID Yên Phong. With this narrow victory, Newtecons claimed the men’s football championship in the Northern region. Additionally, another Newtecons team, 02 Phạm Ngọc Thạch, secured third place.

The sports festival was held at Gia Dinh Stadium on the morning of July 28th in the South.

There were a total of 5 sports in the Southern event.

Newtecons athletes showcased their versatility and athleticism across a range of sports, securing impressive results in all 5 events:

Space Hopper: Third place
Tug of war: Third place and Second place
Sack race: Second place
Relay race: Gold medal

The men’s football tournament saw Newtecons emerge as the ultimate champions. The match remained evenly poised in a thrilling Southern final against BM Windows until the closing stages. A last-gasp goal from Newtecons secured a 2-1 victory, completing a remarkable double in both regions.

Tống Phước Hội, the tournament’s MVP, shared:

Having competed in many company tournaments, this system-wide league was a new challenge for me. Our team was united in our determination to win the championship for Newtecons. We’re overjoyed to have accomplished our mission and want to express our gratitude to our company’s leadership and our passionate fans for their unwavering support.

This is the first Ecosystem Sports Day held since the pandemic. Therefore, it’s more than just a sporting event; Sports Day 2024 is also an opportunity for Newtecons and other companies within the ecosystem to strengthen their connections and interactions.
