NEWTECONS SUCCESSFULLY CONQUERED TRANSFER BEAM AND SLAB AT FPT SOFTWARE TECHNOLOGY, RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT CENTER – PHASE 2, 3
On the eve of the new year 2024, members of the Site Management Team at the FPT Software Technology, Research and Development Center project – Phases 2, 3 closely monitored the progress of concrete floor pouring of transfer beam and slab at a scale of over 1220 m3 of concrete.
The FPT Software Technology, Research and Development Center project – Phases 2, 3 is a significant project that is being implemented concurrently at High-Tech Park, Long Thanh My Ward, Thu Duc City. This project intends to address the ever-increasing needs of the information technology and software industries while also providing an adequate workplace for over 8,000 programmers.
Newtecons is responsible for the construction and installation of the main building and auxiliary works in phases 2, 3. Investor FPT Software Ho Chi Minh and Newtecons will work together to ensure that the center is operational by September 2024.
The concrete pouring of the transfer beam and slab is one of the most challenging aspects of the project, with beams spanning long distances and specific and strict demands from the Investor and the Supervision Consulting unit. The transfer beam, which spans 40m, is made of reinforced concrete and prestressed cables to assure the project’s load-bearing capacity. Furthermore, the transfer beam floor batch contained 1,220m3 of concrete, which is equivalent to 3,050 tons, so the Executive Board worked closely with the Technical Department, Design Consulting, Supervision Consulting, and the Investor to carefully evaluate construction methods to ensure that pouring occurred smoothly, safely, and with quality for this special structure.
In addition, to prepare for the project’s critical milestone, the whole Newtecons Site Management Team and construction forces worked tirelessly day and night, completing preparations, coordination, and skillful arrangements and harmony. The entire construction site worked continually, divided into two shifts every day, to finish the batch. Until last night, January 2, all engineers, managers, and more than 70 workers worked through the night to carry out the decision to finish the plan for the transfer beam and slab.
The Site Management Team considers that this is a challenging matter with significant technical requirements and complexity. However, with the expertise in constructing numerous high-rise projects, particularly the construction of transfer beam and slab, combined with the standard planning procedure and the smooth coordination of the parties, the item was successfully constructed, achieving quality and safety.
Up to this point, on January 3, the Site Management Team has successfully finished the first batch of transfer beam and slab in the project’s two transfer beam clusters, marking a key project milestone and confirming Newtecons’ boldness. In the meantime, the Site Management Team will continue to build typical floor items to guarantee the Investor’s handover timetable.
