NEWTECONS – SPREADING LOVE AND SOLIDARITY TO FLOOD-AFFECTED COMMUNITIES

Within just one month, the Central and Northern regions of Vietnam were hit by two consecutive storms – Typhoon No.10 (Bualoi) and Typhoon No.11 (Matmo) – causing severe human and material losses. The resulting floods, landslides, and flash floods left dozens dead, thousands of houses damaged, and hundreds of hectares of crops destroyed.

In response to this situation, Newtecons promptly extended a helping hand – not only supporting employees and their families affected by the disasters but also reaching out to the wider community. Answering the call for donations from the company’s Trade Union Executive Committee, Newtecons employees contributed a total of VND 112 million to assist people in flood-stricken areas. The Company then matched this generosity by adding VND 100 million from its own fund, bringing the total support amount to VND 212 million.

On October 23, 2025, the Newtecons volunteer team in the Northern region represented all employees in visiting Kha Son Commune, Phu Binh District, Thai Nguyen Province – one of the hardest-hit areas during the recent floods. Local residents, who mainly earn their livelihood from rice cultivation and fish farming, suffered devastating losses as floodwaters rose to rooftop level, destroying fields ready for harvest and sweeping away fish ponds.

The team prepared 330 gift packages, each including cash and essential goods worth VND 600,000, and personally delivered them to affected households. The donation ceremony was attended by Mr. Nguyen Van Chin – Chairman of the Kha Son Commune Fatherland Front Committee, who expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Newtecons for their timely support, saying it provided not only material aid but also invaluable encouragement to the local people during this difficult time.

In addition, the Newtecons team visited and donated VND 10 million to a single mother in Hiep Hoa Commune, Bac Giang Province, who had tragically lost her child during the flood. The touching encounter deeply moved the entire team, reinforcing the profound meaning of compassion and humanity in times of hardship.

More than just a charitable act, this journey was a heartfelt mission of connection and kindness – a testament to the solidarity, responsibility, and humanity that Newtecons has upheld throughout its development. For Newtecons, construction is not only about building strong structures, but also about building meaningful values for the community.
