NEWTECONS SECURES CONTRACT AND COMMENCES CONSTRUCTION OF VIETTEL HOA LAC TECHNICAL CENTER TO HIGH TECHNICAL STANDARDS
As the general and M.E.P contractor, Newtecons has distinguished itself in the Viettel Hoa Lac Technical Center project, located in the Hoa Lac High-Tech Park, Thach That, Hanoi. The project requires adherence to a broad spectrum of international standards for data center construction, emphasizing rigorous standards for deployment and operation.
Upon its completion, Viettel Hoa Lac Technical Center is set to become one of the largest data storage facilities for Viettel in Vietnam, boasting a total floor area of 21,467 m2 across 7 floors.
The construction officially commenced on November 29, 2021, marking the collaboration between Newtecons, Viettel Asset Management Company, and other project contributors: the Institute of Building Science and Technology IBST (supervision consultant) and the Vietnam Construction Consulting Corporation VNCC (Design Consultant).
The architecture features a distinct square shape with a non-standard perforated aluminum facade and steel structures, showcasing a monumental, robust, yet modern and innovative appearance. This project exemplifies the harmonious blend of technical precision and aesthetic design.
Despite lacking a basement, the project presents a complex structure that demands sophisticated construction techniques similar to those required for buildings with 2 basement levels. This includes floors with heights ranging from 6-9 m to accommodate the installation of technical equipment, as well as large oil and water tanks over 70 m in length and 7.5 m deep.
Projected to be completed in September 2022, the Viettel Hoa Lac Technical Center will undergo a rigorous construction and inspection phase to meet the highest standards. The M.E.P system implemented by Newtecons is critical, directly impacting safety, security, and operational convenience.
The construction involves both the main facility and its utilities, all demanding advanced technical expertise due to their intricate structures, akin to those found in buildings with 2 basements
Essential features such as climate control to stabilize temperatures for servers and equipment; backup connectivity systems; security and monitoring systems; and an electrical supply meeting international standards have been a primary focus for Newtecons from the start, ensuring the project’s quality and integrity.
In its pursuit of erecting landmark buildings, the Viettel Hoa Lac Technical Center further solidifies Newtecons’ status as a premier general contractor in Vietnam. Anticipation is mounting for the unveiling of this significant data storage center in September 2022.
