NEWTECONS OFFICIALLY COMMENCES CONSTRUCTION OF WESTLAKE SQUARE HANOI – A MIXED-USE DEVELOPMENT BY TOSHIN DEVELOPMENT

On the morning of August 2, 2025, the groundbreaking ceremony for the Westlake Square Hanoi project – one of the landmark developments in the Tay Ho Tay new urban area – took place at plot C1CC1, Hanoi. The event was hosted by Toshin Development, the real estate arm of Takashimaya Group, acting as both the developer and the organizer.

In its first phase, Westlake Square Hanoi will offer a total gross floor area of approximately 43,000 m², comprising a shopping mall spanning from basement level B1 up to the 6th floor, and premium office spaces from the 7th to the 10th floor, all designed to modern international standards.

The project requires an accelerated construction schedule and demands some of the most stringent quality and technical standards in the industry. As the General Contractor, Newtecons is committed to executing the project with outstanding construction capabilities and a professional management system, ensuring full compliance with the highest expectations from the Japanese Investor.

Notably, the development is targeting the LEED Platinum certification – the highest level within the U.S. Green Building Council’s sustainable building rating system. This would place Westlake Square Hanoi among the very few projects in Vietnam to achieve such certification, demonstrating the Investor’s strong commitment to sustainability, with Newtecons dedicated to implementing the project in accordance with international technical and environmental standards.
