NEWTECONS HOLDS STAFF AND EMPLOYEE CONFERENCE
The Newtecons Staff and Employee Conference took place at 08:00 on January 21, 2022, at Gem Center, attended by the Board of Directors and representatives from various Departments/Divisions/Construction Sites. The event reviewed the operational activities and business outcomes of 2021 and outlined plans for 2022.
Newtecons set clear objectives for revenue, labor productivity, and emphasized the importance of fostering comprehensive development for each staff member. The Board of Directors engaged in direct dialogues, listened to employees’ thoughts and desires, and recognized outstanding teams and individuals for their 2021 achievements.
The Covid-19 pandemic broadly impacted society, with the construction sector facing stalled progress, workforce shortages, and rising material costs. Despite these challenges, Newtecons maintained its pioneering spirit, ensuring operational continuity, employee welfare, and social responsibility.
Mr. Tran Kim Long, General Director of Newtecons, initiated the conference with inspiring words: “Newtecons is poised for extraordinary growth. With our current determination, unity, and strategic guidance from the Board of Directors, I am confident we will excellently achieve our 2022 objectives, strengthening our future development.”
Prioritizing comprehensive development, Newtecons achieved significant milestones in 2021, winning bids, commencing, and topping out numerous projects across civil, industrial, and technical infrastructure sectors. These projects, symbolic in nature, lay foundations for economic and social advancements in various regions.
The general contractor capabilities of Newtecons were highlighted through significant investments, project impacts, and collaborations with leading global consultants and supervisors. These solid steps in 2021 set the stage for numerous project deliveries in 2022.
In the Business Production Plan, Mr. Ngo Dinh Ngoc Quang, representing the Newtecons Management Board, focused on holistic staff development and the pivotal role of human resources: “For 2022, Newtecons is dedicated to training, maximizing internal strengths from equipment to personnel, and welcoming talents with attractive policies and benefits. Through the collective effort of our staff, we aim to achieve even greater innovations.”
One of the significant features of the annual Staff and Employee Conference is honoring exceptional teams and individuals. This act of recognition reaffirms the dedication and efforts made by each member of staff towards Newtecons, in line with the company’s commitment to providing the best salary and reward system within the construction industry.
During the conference, the Newtecons Board of Directors and Union representatives directly engaged with staff and employees, fostering connections across departments, divisions, and sites nationwide.
The Board of Directors and Union representatives addressed staff and employee concerns related to the improvement of the construction site management model, post-pandemic recovery strategies, travel benefits, programs for enhancing knowledge, and training in soft skills. These concerns were based on key issues highlighted in the earlier presentation. The Board committed to significant investment in personnel development for 2022, with specific plans being approved.
For every success achieved and each challenge overcome, Newtecons gratefully recognizes the support and cooperation from customers and partners, along with the dedication and hard work of its team. Thus, despite the challenging circumstances brought on by the pandemic, Newtecons’ Board of Directors maintained its commitment to corporate responsibility, customer and partner commitments, and community engagement through numerous meaningful activities.
At the end of 2021, Newtecons marked a significant milestone with the inauguration of Newtecons Tower. Far more than just a workplace, it represents the “heart” that encapsulates the essence of Newtecons People. The building’s completion not only brought joy to staff and employees but also reinforced the pride associated with the Newtecons brand.
Through consistent effort, Newtecons was honored with prestigious accolades, including being named among the Top 50 Vietnamese Enterprises with an Attractive Employer Brand in 2021, securing a spot in the Top 100 Best Places to Work in Asia by HR Asia, and being recognized as a TOP 10 Reputable Contractor and one of the TOP 50 Fastest Growing Enterprises in Vietnam for the year.
