NEWTECONS DEMONSTRATES VERSATILE CONSTRUCTION EXPERTISE WITH PHUOC THO I & II RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT – “THE GREEN PENINSULA” IN VINH LONG
Phuoc Tho I & II Residential Area marks the first real estate venture by T&T Group in the Mekong Delta. Serving as the principal contractor, Newtecons is successfully keeping pace with the structural construction schedule and is set to begin the development of a 17-story hotel alongside 2 shopping centers in April 2022.
This development, spearheaded by T&T Land Phuoc Tho Co., Ltd. (a subsidiary of T&T Group), is situated in Ward 3, Vinh Long City, spanning an area of 11.5 ha. Newtecons has showcased its capability to handle a diverse array of construction types, including townhouses, villas, and shophouses, alongside a coherent infrastructure encompassing shopping centers, community buildings, schools, and hospitals.
The residential area is uniquely surrounded by waterways, resembling a peninsula. It boasts lush greenery and artificial lakes that harmoniously integrate with the natural environment and geographical features of the Mekong Delta, catering to residents’ desire for a luxurious living environment.
The project’s river-adjacent and peninsula-like location presents unique construction challenges, particularly in terms of groundwork, soil conditions, and especially for the embankments, foundations, and basements. Before breaking ground, the project team invested significant time in geological research and planning to optimize construction processes, ensuring quality and adherence to the promised timeline.
Amid the pandemic, proactive measures were taken to mitigate spread, establish safe zones, and support staff to sustain operations and minimize schedule disruptions.
To date, the technical infrastructure construction phase at Phuoc Tho I has reached 95% completion, with pile driving at 100% and low-rise building structures at 60%. For Phuoc Tho II, technical infrastructure progress is at 95%; embankment construction, internal lakes, foundation piles, and building structures are approximately 40% complete.
Beyond the hotel, shopping centers, shophouses, villas, and townhouses, the project boasts comprehensive amenities that reflect its magnitude. With a fully equipped lighting system, water treatment, electricity, and water supply, alongside wide main roads and a robust transportation infrastructure, it resembles a self-contained city.

Looking forward, Newtecons plans to kick off the 17-story hotel and 2 shopping centers; a low-rise area featuring 485 units, including shophouses, villas, and adjacent houses, is slated for delivery in September 2022.
