NEWTECONS CONTRIBUTES TO CREATING THE “PROJECT OF THE CENTURY” – LONG THANH INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT WELCOMES ITS FIRST FLIGHTS
After more than two years of continuously accelerating construction progress while ensuring quality, the Long Thanh International Airport Project – implemented by Newtecons in partnership with the Vietur consortium – officially welcomed its first three inaugural flights operated by Vietnam Airlines, Vietjet Air, and Bamboo Airways on December 19, 2025. This milestone marks the substantial completion of Phase 1 of the largest aviation infrastructure project in Vietnam.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by representatives of the Government leadership and leaders of ministries including Construction, Finance, Agriculture and Environment, among others, underscoring the project’s special significance and national stature.
In this symbolic project, Newtecons, together with the Vietur consortium (Ricons, SOL E&C, and partners), executed the reinforced concrete structural works of the terminal. In addition, Newtecons undertook the management of the entire Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) package, directly constructing key systems such as Air Conditioning and the Building Management System (LBMS). These efforts contributed to the creation of a modern terminal complex with smart operations, meeting international standards from the very first phase of operation.

Upon completion of all phases, Long Thanh International Airport will achieve a capacity of up to 100 million passengers per year, becoming the largest airport in Vietnam and a vital aviation gateway for the region.
