NEWTECONS COMMENCES PROJECT 05 BW HAI DUONG – EXPANDING ITS INTERNATIONAL STRATEGY

Following the success of Project No. 08 BW Thoi Hoa, Newtecons has been entrusted by BW Industrial Development JSC (BW) with the construction package for project 05 BW Hai Duong, which encompasses a total area of 63,000 m2, including 3 workshops totaling approximately 35,000 m2.

The industrial real estate sector is experiencing significant growth in Vietnam, with high demand for land and factory leases from major domestic and international corporations. Previously, BW has successfully provided ready-built factories for lease that meet international standards across Vietnam’s key industrial provinces. 

BW currently owns 600 ha. of land across the country, with 30 projects in 8 provinces and cities. Among them, Project No. 08 BW Thoi Hoa, executed and delivered by General Contractor Newtecons, has established the quality and reputation of the contractor, setting the stage for this current collaboration.

On December 29, 2021, Project 05 BW Hai Duong officially commenced, witnessed by representatives from the investor, General Contractor Newtecons, and the supervisory consultant, the Institute of Building Science and Technology (IBST).

At the ceremony, Mr. Michael Chan, Northern Region Sales Director representing BW, stated, “We congratulate Newtecons for becoming the general contractor of this project. This marks our first collaboration in the northern region. In 2022, BW plans to add another 1 million m2 of factory floor space for lease, with Newtecons being a trusted partner in these endeavors.”

Responding to the investor’s commitment to long-term cooperation, Mr. Hoang Phuong Lam, Operations Director at Newtecons, emphasized, “As the construction general contractor, we will ensure that the project not only meets its scheduled completion and quality standards but also prioritizes absolute safety. We aim for a collaborative effort to bring this project to a successful conclusion, contributing positively to the economic development of Hai Duong.”

Constructing lease factories involves stringent quality standards, from roof height and floor load capacity to electricity, water supply, and wastewater treatment systems. Notably, achieving an ultra-flat floor is a critical and challenging standard. Newtecons has proven its capability through various projects, meeting standards from investors, supervisory consultants, and lessees. Newtecons consistently aligns with international standards while accommodating lessees’ needs, working closely with investors to deliver optimally designed and executed projects.

BW is poised to become Vietnam’s largest developer of industrial real estate for lease, significantly contributing to the sector’s growth and broader economic development. Newtecons takes pride in partnering with BW on projects that adhere to international leasing standards.

Project 05 BW Hai Duong is set to be completed and delivered in June 2022. Over the next 6.5 months, the investor is confident in the project’s success, attributing this to the close collaboration among the investor, General Contractor Newtecons, and IBST.
