NEWTECONS COMMENCES MEGA LIFESCIENCES PROJECT – FOSTERING SUSTAINABLE HEALTH VALUES
On November 14, 2025, Newtecons, in partnership with Taikisha, held the Groundbreaking Ceremony for the Manufacturing Plant Project of Mega Lifesciences (Vietnam) Co., Ltd. The event marks the beginning of a journey to build a modern pharmaceutical production facility that meets international standards and aligns with Mega Lifesciences’ expansion strategy in Vietnam.
The ceremony was attended by representatives of the Investor, strategic partners, and Newtecons’ Executive Board. Speaking at the event, Mr. Võ Thanh Liêm – CEO of Newtecons – shared: “The project is the result of a thorough preparation process that began at the end of 2024, when the investment information was announced. The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on October 16, 2025, was a significant milestone, demonstrating the Investor’s trust and opening a path for extensive cooperation between the parties.”
The project is implemented under a joint venture between Newtecons and Taikisha, in which Newtecons serves as the contractor for design, permitting, and construction of architectural, structural, and infrastructure works. Taikisha is responsible for the design and execution of the MEP systems. This collaboration model aims to deliver an optimal implementation solution, ensuring quality, safety, and progress that meet the stringent requirements of a pharmaceutical plant.
With extensive experience in large-scale projects – from national infrastructure such as Long Thanh International Airport to 5-star high-rise developments – Newtecons affirms its readiness to accompany Mega Lifesciences throughout the construction process. The project is expected to positively contribute to Vietnam’s pharmaceutical ecosystem, laying a sustainable foundation for production activities and delivering long-term value to the community.
The groundbreaking ceremony concluded successfully in an enthusiastic atmosphere, marking a new phase of collaboration between the Investor, partners, and Newtecons. The entire project team is committed to ensuring safe, efficient, and on-schedule execution.
