NEWTECONS AND ECOSYSTEM COMPANIES JOIN FORCES TO PLANT A FOREST: SPREADING THE SPIRIT OF A GREENER VIETNAM
As a pioneer in sustainable development initiatives in Vietnam, Newtecons continues to demonstrate its strong commitment to environmental responsibility through a forest planting program aimed at building a greener Vietnam.
In celebration of Traditional Day, on July 12, 2025, Newtecons, along with companies within its ecosystem (Ricons, SOL E&C, BM Windows, BOHO, and D&B), came together to plant 1,500 Hopea odorata trees, of which Newtecons contributed 300.
The chosen site for reforestation is the Binh Chau – Phuoc Buu Nature Reserve, one of the last remaining coastal forests in the Southeast region. Stretching across Xuyen Moc District in Ba Ria – Vung Tau Province, this 11,000-hectare forest is a unique confluence of primary forest, mangroves, and coastal sand ecosystems — forming a biologically diverse and ecologically valuable habitat.
Joining the Executive Committee of the Trade Union were 11 volunteers from various departments of Newtecons. In a cheerful and spirited atmosphere, the Newtecons team joined other ecosystem companies in immersing themselves in nature, actively planting each tree with the hope of building a greener, more sustainable future.
During the event, Ms. Ha Tieu Anh – CFO of Newtecons and Mr. Nguyen Chi Dung – Construction Division Director at BM Windows – delivered heartfelt and inspiring speeches on behalf of the ecosystem. They emphasized the essential role of businesses in supporting community efforts to protect the environment and called for every individual within the organization to embrace a green lifestyle and live responsibly in harmony with nature.
Beyond tree planting, this field trip also offered participants unique and meaningful experiences:
- Exploring the tropical forest and learning about current forest conditions and biodiversity;
- Immersing themselves in the forest sunshine, reconnecting with nature, and deepening their awareness of the bond between humans and the green forest;
- Participating in team-building activities that strengthened the spirit of unity across ecosystem members.
The journey concluded with smiles, firm handshakes, and, most importantly, a shared belief in a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable future – one that each individual and company can help build together.
