NEWTECONS’ ENGINEERING MILESTONE AT VLASTA PREMIER PHU THUAN
On August 23, 2026, the transfer slab concrete pour at the Vlasta Premier Phu Thuan Project was successfully completed, marking an important milestone in the project’s structural construction. Newtecons successfully delivered this large-scale work package, involving nearly 3,000 m³ of concrete and approximately 1,000 tonnes of reinforcement steel.
The Level 4M slab covers a total area of approximately 1,500 m², with transfer beams reaching 2.5 metres in height and up to 4.5 metres in width at their widest sections. Given the highly congested reinforcement arrangement and the requirement for B50 high-strength concrete, the work demanded stringent standards in engineering, quality control and on-site construction management.
One of the major challenges was executing a mass concrete pour amid prolonged rainy and windy conditions, which could directly affect both construction progress and concrete surface quality. In response, the Site Management Team proactively implemented appropriate technical and construction measures, including installing a protective roof over the entire transfer beam area and strengthening the monitoring and control of environmental conditions on site.
At the same time, Newtecons organised the works in carefully coordinated stages, mobilising a team of experienced engineers and more than 200 workers for reinforcement fabrication and installation, formwork, equipment arrangement, concrete supply and supervision throughout the pouring process. The substantial workload and demanding technical requirements called for close coordination among multiple teams on site. Proactive resource allocation, rigorous control at every stage and timely handling of arising issues contributed to meeting the project’s requirements for safety, quality and schedule.
The completion of the transfer slab marks another important step forward on the critical path of the Vlasta Premier Phu Thuan Project, while demonstrating Newtecons’ capability in delivering large-scale structural works with complex technical requirements. Building on this milestone, Newtecons will continue to mobilise resources for the upcoming works, ensuring alignment with the project’s overall construction schedule.
