NEWTECONS COMPLETES ALL REINFORCED CONCRETE STRUCTURES FOR THE LONG THÀNH AIRPORT PASSENGER TERMINAL
In a significant milestone, Newtecons finished pouring the last batch of concrete for the highest level of the Long Thành Airport passenger terminal in the early hours of August 21st.
Newtecons has completed all reinforced concrete construction works for Package 5.10 of the Long Thành International Airport Phase 1, encompassing the passenger terminal building. This milestone was achieved after approximately one year of continuous construction efforts.
To expedite the project’s completion in partnership with the Joint Venture, Newtecons is fully committed to maintaining the current construction pace. Comprehensive plans and execution strategies for the subsequent phase have been meticulously prepared to ensure the project timeline remains on track.
Completing the passenger terminal’s reinforced concrete structure brings us closer to the inauguration of Long Thành International Airport. This milestone is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the construction team.

The Long Thành International Airport is an iconic national project with a massive construction scope, stringent quality, and timely completion requirements. Designed as a lotus flower, the airport’s passenger terminal boasts a floor area of over 376,000 square meters and can accommodate up to 40 aircraft at a time. With a 39-month construction period, this is currently the most extensive and most valuable contract package. In its first phase, Long Thành Airport will have a capacity to serve 25 million passengers and 1.2 million tons of cargo annually. Upon full completion, the airport will feature four runways, four passenger terminals, and synchronized auxiliary facilities, with a capacity to handle 100 million passengers and 5 million tons of cargo annually. |
