NEWTECONS BREAKS GROUND ON TWIN TOWER COMPLEX AT “GOLDEN LAND” IN DOWNTOWN HO CHI MINH CITY

On the morning of March 14, Newtecons and SOL E&C officially broke ground on a twin tower complex rising 47–56 floors at the “golden land” of the Ben Thanh Quadrilateral, featuring four frontages on Pham Ngu Lao, Calmette, Le Thi Hong Gam, and Pho Duc Chinh streets – considered one of the most prime locations in downtown Ho Chi Minh City.

The project is developed as an integrated complex of retail, office space, branded residences, and a 6-star standard hotel, with a height of approximately 235 meters and six basement levels. Notably, the development includes two direct connections to the metro station at basement level B1, enhancing accessibility to public transportation in the heart of the city.

In this project, Newtecons serves as the main contractor, collaborating with ecosystem partners including SOL E&C (construction works) and BM Windows (aluminum and façade works).

The project is considered highly technically complex, featuring approximately 3,000 tons of structural steel and special structural systems such as outriggers, cantilevers, trusses, and a composite shear wall, all requiring high precision in design and installation. The construction also incorporates advanced methods such as high-capacity Potain tower cranes, Gangform core systems, climbing protection screens, and the application of BIM LOD400 technology to simulate and control technical processes before construction.

After an expected construction period of 30 months, the twin tower complex is anticipated to become a new architectural icon in central Ho Chi Minh City, contributing to shaping a modern urban skyline.
