NEWTCONS BREAKS GROUND ON STRUCTURE AND SHELL CONSTRUCTION PACKAGE FOR HIGH-RISE BLOCKS OCC1, OCC2, DV2.1, DV2.2, DV2.3, DV2.4 AT THE 3/2 STREET URBAN AREA PROJECT IN VUNG TAU CITY
On March 12, 2026, Newtecons, together with companies in the Ricons ecosystem (Ricons and SOL E&C), officially broke ground on the package “Structural construction and shell & core finishing for high-rise blocks OCC1, OCC2, DV2.1, DV2.2, DV2.3 and DV2.4” of the 3/2 Street Urban Area Project (Balanca City) located in Ward 10 and Ward 11, Vung Tau City.

The project aims to create an international-standard urban complex combining living, resort, and entertainment spaces, including villas, high-rise apartments, a water park, and a seaside square. The project is invested by Sun Group.

Newtecons is responsible for the structural construction and shell & core finishing of high-rise blocks OCC2, DV2.2, and DV2.4, consisting of 5 towers with 3 basement levels, 2 podium levels, and 38 above-ground floors. The development includes residential apartments, serviced apartments, and commercial areas. The total gross floor area is approximately 246,390 m², with a construction timeline of 557 days from the commencement date.
The project presents several technical challenges, particularly the construction of three basement levels in complex coastal geological conditions affected by groundwater levels. This requires the contractor to possess strong experience, scientific construction planning, and appropriate technical solutions to ensure structural stability and safety for surrounding areas.
With extensive experience in delivering large-scale projects and strong construction management capabilities, Newtecons will closely collaborate with partners and the project owner to implement the project on schedule while ensuring quality and safety, contributing to the realization of Sun Group’s development vision and creating a new landmark in the coastal city of Vung Tau.
