NEWTECONS ORGANIZED THE TRAINING PROGRAM “LEADERSHIP SKILLS 5R” FOR MANAGERS

The “Leadership Skills 5R” program for managers was recently organized by Newtecons Human Resources & Training Department. This is a program in Newstar Club’s series of potential leadership development programs.

Leadership is a very vital skill for a management position, especially for young managers who have little experience in a new role. The training program has provided a comprehensive picture of a long-term manager, clearly articulating the manager’s functions and responsibilities, as well as the competencies needed to become a true manager.

Speaker Phan Huu Loc (VMP Academy), who has more than 18 years of rigorous experience in management, leadership, and training, presented and communicated the lecture’s contents directly through graphics. Teaching formula 3V with Fun, Movement and Application provides a dynamic learning environment with instructions that are simple to understand and implement.

Rights, Relationship, Result, Reproduction, and Respect are the 5Rs in the training program, which correlate to the 5 ladders that the manager affects people for a common purpose.

Newtecons Human Resources & Training Department believes that managers will learn and implement the following abilities as a result of the program:

  • Understand the five levels of leadership and know your own capacity;
  • Learn the way to communicate with coworkers and subordinates;
  • Learn the way to influence and motivate others;
  • Use good assignation and delegation strategies to encourage people to be proactive in their work.

“The training session has methodically reorganized a number of abilities that can be instantly implemented to the current job, such as presentation skills, assignment skills, priority planning steps, and helped me better understand the roles and responsibilities of a manager” Mr. Nguyen Van Thien, Site Vice Manager of The Sóng project, remarked after participating in the program. “Every day, I will utilize this knowledge and practice to improve my expertise.” He added.

“After the course, I noticed that several mistakes were repeated over and over throughout my two years as a manager, that is, I often work on behalf of my team members,” said Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nam, Deputy Head of Technical Department. “This is a common issue among novice managers. As a result, I enjoy the statement “Doing everything is losing everything” because it gives me a clear idea of my duty as a manager as well as work orientation for the team members in my department. I’m excited to share what I’ve learned and experienced from the lesson with other participants, especially those who have the potential to lead.”

“The training event was a realistic opportunity for me to reflect on my management work in the past and learn some additional proper knowledge for future management job that help me to save time and effort in the future.” stated Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nhon, Head of Legal System Department, who frequently manages processes that demand high precision.

The training program was interesting with a variety of activities and approaches to help participants remember and practice what they had learned in class. Newtecons Human Resources & Training Department will conduct additional programs for Newtecons’ managers in the future to increase professional knowledge and management abilities in order to foster resource staff while also strengthening internal communication.
